We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our dynamic HVAC Design team in Basildon.

What You Will Do

Technical Proposals: Develop technical proposals for HVAC enquiries.

Project Management: Manage projects from concept and detailed design through to installation and commissioning support.

Design Calculations: Perform HVAC design load calculations.

Specifications & Reports: Write detailed system specifications and components, prepare test procedures, and compile technical reports.

Client Interaction: Conduct site visits, surveys, and meet with clients and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety requirements, maintaining best safety working practices.

Innovation: Identify new products or technologies that give Johnson Controls a market edge and propose alternative design philosophies to reduce energy consumption and costs.

Technical Reviews: Provide technical review of OEM designs to ensure compliance with client requirements before manufacture.

What We Look For

Excellent Communication & Teamwork: Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Time Management: Ability to prioritize workloads effectively.

Educational Background: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or Refrigeration.

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and air conditioning systems.

Design Experience: Experience in HVAC or Mechanical Systems design.

Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCad 2D and 3D, Inventor, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
