Job Overview:

LPL Financial is currently seeking an experienced Analyst, Data Analytics with exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills. You will assist in the development of recommendations by synthesizing data from multiple sources and developing reports to drive strategic and business insights. In this position, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify solutions with a focus on operational efficiency, automation opportunities, product improvement, and improvement of advisor experience via action-oriented intelligence.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage Tableau dashboards and data flows to deliver business insights.

  • Partner with internal customers to align analytical approaches with business requirements.  Apply creativity and initiative to create new and improve existing solutions to achieve these requirements and answer business questions

  • Apply industry best practices to identify data-driven trends, patterns, opportunities, and risks

  • Summarize, communicate, and present key insights to business stakeholders, leverage data visualization to support storytelling for various areas of the business

  • Develop consultative and trusted-advisor relationships with all levels of management and business stakeholders to solve problems and foster a culture of data-driven decision making

  • Track the impact of data-driven implementations and process improvements, ensure that solutions create value for the operation and/or advisors.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the accuracy of all metrics published in dashboards and reports.  Conduct regular audits to ensure consistency of metrics across reports

  • Mentor junior analysts/offshore team to build overall capabilities of team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 3+ years experience Data & Business Analytics

  • 2+ years experience Tableau and/or PowerBI

  • Experience with data mining and analysis tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Python, and R

Core Competencies:

  • Proficient with database concepts and able to write queries from scratch

  • Highly proficient with MS Excel including pivot tables and complex logic-based formulas

  • Excellent data gathering, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Trusted to work independently with stakeholders at all levels; able to execute projects and tasks with minimal guidance and supervision

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to communicate information to senior executives for assisting them in making decisions

  • Model servant leadership for the team

  • Experience in a fast moving, entrepreneurial environment; handles pressure well

  • Driven and curious, always seeking to improve, learn, and grow

Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred major in Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, MIS

Pay Range:

$32.57-$54.29/hour


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
