You are:

An experienced, hands-on Data Visualization professional with hands-on expertise in Power BI.  You excel at translating complex data into clear, actionable insights through compelling dashboards and visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to define report requirements and deliver insights.

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.

• Use Power BI to analyze data and identify trends, patterns, or anomalies.

• Build and maintain data pipelines (using tools like Azure Data Factory or Synapse).

• Build and optimize data models.

• Design the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes that feed Power BI datasets.

• Ensure data governance, version control, and documentation of BI assets.

• PLEASE NOTE: The role is hybrid and requires the person to be on-site in the designated office 3 days/week.

What you need:

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Data Visualization professional with hands on Power BI experience including dashboard design and interactivity

• 3+ years of professional experience performing data cleaning and transformation using Power Query

• 3+ years of using SQL for data querying and validation purposes

• 3+ years of data modelling experience (i.e. designing data models, defining data relationships)

• Knowledge of visualization best practices – Experience with best practices in chart selection, color theory, layout, accessibility, and storytelling principles.

English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement

Bonus points if you have experience with:

• Azure Data Services: Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or Data Lake.

• Python / R integration: For advanced analytics or predictive models.

• Power Automate: Automate report refreshes, alerts, or notifications.

• Power Apps: Embed custom forms or inputs within dashboards.

• Excel PowerPivot / Power Query: For cross-platform BI integration
