Pharmacy Technician – Oncology Department
BJC/Saint Luke’s Hospital – Kansas City, MO

BJC/Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Oncology Department. This position plays a vital role in supporting pharmacists by preparing, compounding, distributing, and maintaining medication inventory in accordance with established procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick, fill, and deliver medication orders and Omnicell stock to designated areas.
• Prepare and compound medications, including sterile products, chemotherapy agents, and specialized dosage forms (e.g., topicals, oral liquids).
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies within the pharmacy department.
• Respond to phone and window inquiries, assisting with medication requests and general questions.
• Participate in departmental and technician meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required within 18 months of hire.
• Previous experience in a hospital or oncology pharmacy setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
