Job Description:

Scope of Position:  Functions as a point person/coordinator of services for radiation oncologists and radiation oncology patients. Promotes the smooth transition of patient care from entry into MBPCC system until completion of treatment and throughout follow-up process. Assists designated physician(s) in a variety of professional and paraprofessional patient care activities as specified and requested. Responsible for providing specialized care of the radiation oncology patient including patient assessments and education and participation in  other procedures as required by physician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Coordination of patient care services.
• Specialized nursing care of radiation oncology patients.
• Phone triage
• Patient education
• Infection Control/Emergency Standard
• Medical chart management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Nursing diploma (LPN) from approved program.                                 
• Oncology experience preferred 
• LPN required
• CPR required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in nursing required
