We're looking for an Associate Systems Administrator to join our team at Hypixel Studios, which collaborates remotely from around the world. Our members range from industry newcomers to experts with 25+ years of experience. Team members come from a diverse set of backgrounds, but share a common passion for building polished player-focused, community-powered games.

As an Associate Systems Administrator, you will assist in ordering, installing and managing all office IT hardware and software, including both existing and new deployments. Additionally, you will onboard new users onto the systems that we use daily. You will collaborate with our global remote team, ensuring they are fully equipped for their workday.

 

 

Who you are:

  • You have a foundational understanding of Systems Administration and IT Support.
  • You have experience with building and maintaining gaming or enterprise-grade machines and servers.
  • You are self-motivated and capable of working asynchronously.
  • You possess excellent attention to detail.
  • You can manage a high volume of tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • You approach your work with enthusiasm and thrive in a dynamic, diverse environment.
  • You enjoy helping others.

 

Some of your role:

  • Assist with sourcing, pricing and ordering hardware and software for both on-site and remote team members, ensuring alignment with specifications for specific development roles.
  • Maintain and provide support for IT hardware and software on-site.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding staff on the systems we use daily.
  • Assist conduct regular audits of company hardware and software.  

 

Essential Traits:

  • A strong passion for computers, servers, and networking hardware.
  • Experience with help desk systems, inventory tracking tools, and remote management software.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities, maintaining focus on the most critical projects and adjusting as needed to ensure completion.
  • Versatility and the ability to quickly adapt to new challenges and evolving timelines.
  • A high level of self-motivation and the ability to effectively support remote users.
