The Finance Reporting Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the generation, tracking and submission of financial reports in coordination with the Finance Team. The overall objective of this role is to accurately prepare and report business/financial transactions, reports and statements in accordance with local regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the manage and control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data, including by preparing and recording financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes, updating the general ledger and recording financial transactions, in accordance with management reporting requirements, for legal vehicle & regulatory purposes.
  • Review and examine key controls for accounting process within the process handled.
  • Assists in the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures or products.
  • Take responsibility for the accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools.
  • Identifies and resolves problems using independent judgment for assigned products/ business.
  • Implements workflow or process change and redesign basis strong basic understanding of the specific product / business / function.
  • Able to articulate own process along with its key controls and support reasoning with appropriate evidence in assigned area of work.
  • Identify and appropriately highlight / escalate potential issues relating to account with stakeholders such Country Controllers / Global O&T Controllers, and work with them for resolution.
  • Utilizes understanding of concepts and procedures within own area (Fixed Assets Accounting) and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact on own area.
  • Applies understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing objectives.
  • Provides guidance to new or lower level analysts.
  • Resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired accounting experience and guided by precedents.
  • Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams.
  • Directs day-to-day work of junior level employees; mentors, coaches, trains and oversees progress of FA Specialists
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • May be assigned various tasks as instructed by the country manager related, but not limited, to customer service, user training, quality assurance, information and projects.  May be rotated across various functions and countries for the individual’s own growth and development.
  • When necessary, pitches-in in the production process to ensure compliance of team to service level commitments
  • Decides on rejection of invoices for non-adherence to capitalization policies and adequate documentation, therefore deferring processing until the appropriate level of approval or proper documentation is obtained, or re-classing outright to expense
  • Assists in the training of stakeholders to educate them on Fixed Assets-related policies, processes, and P2P tools
  • Ensures controls are executed properly and operations are working efficiently.


Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of previous experience required
  • Ability to handle high volume of work & adapt to change
  • Ability to rapidly learn technical and business techniques and knowledge
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Leadership potential and good supervisory skills
  • Strong team player, willing to learn and share experience with other team members
  • Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to work on mid-shift schedule


Education:

Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
