Business Bank (BB) offers a wide range of services to small-to-medium enterprises, as well as regional, agribusiness, personal, and institutional online trading customers.

The Everyday Business Banking (EBB) team supports customers ranging from the smallest businesses to the largest corporates. We’re responsible for Deposit and Transaction Product and Portfolio Management, Cash Channel Strategy, Merchant Solutions, Business Customer Onboarding, Customer Lifecycle Management, and Business Customer Propositions.

In this role, you will join the EBB Deposit and Transactions Crew, responsible for:

  • Deposit and Transactions product and portfolio management
  • Product acquisition, in-life maintenance, and customer experience optimisation
  • Product development and digitisation
  • Cash and cheque strategy for Business and Institutional customers

The team is embarking on several initiatives to uplift transactional banking capabilities within the Institutional and Global banking space.

Do Work That Matters

As Senior Product Manager you’ll be accountable for the end-to-end management of Cash and Cheque products for Business and Institutional customers.

You’ll work within a broader squad to deliver strategic outcomes aligned with Crew OKRs, utilising your domain knowledge, thought leadership, and strategic mindset to drive results.

You will leverage y our domain expertise, thought leadership, and strategic mindset to drive product outcomes across the lifecycle. This includes launching new features, monitoring performance, ensuring regulatory and risk compliance, enhancing customer experience, and driving change across the business.

In this role, you will be;

  • Leading product change initiatives to improve offerings and processes for better customer outcomes and value
  • Driving product process enhancements through customer-centred design thinking
  • Acting as a subject matter expert, providing advice on product strategy and influencing key decisions
  • Using performance insights to drive prioritisation, including financial, business, and customer experience outcomes
  • Engaging with risk and governance frameworks, preparing product papers, and presenting risk assessments to senior stakeholders
  • Managing operational risk incidents, uplifting controls, and ensuring end-to-end product lifecycle management (pricing, features, terms and conditions, and more)

  • Proven experience in financial services, product management, or process improvement
  • Expertise in working with technology and systems teams to uplift or build new capabilities
  • Proven success in leading a defined product strategic roadmap
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience
  • A strong ability to challenge the status quo, acting as a change agent
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide solutions to complex problems and technical challenges
