Are you ready to make a difference? Join the WellStar Enterprise Support Team (WEST) in our Float Pool! This exciting opportunity allows you to work across various facilities based on staffing needs, utilizing your unique skills to provide exceptional patient care wherever you’re needed most.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care & Coordination:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessments and medical procedures, under RN supervision.
  • Follow physician orders and the nursing process to manage patients’ total needs.
  • Coordinate patient care with the RN, therapists, and other team members, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Report changes in patients’ conditions and contribute to care plan adjustments.
  • Meet established productivity standards and deliver patient-centered care.

Patient & Caregiver Education:

  • Educate patients and caregivers on self-care, promoting independence and safety.
  • Actively monitor and report any safety concerns to appropriate authorities or leadership.

Communication & Documentation:

  • Complete accurate and timely documentation according to regulatory guidelines.
  • Actively participate in care team meetings and contribute to collaborative problem-solving.

Staff Education & Professional Growth:

  • Stay current with clinical knowledge by attending continuing education, in-services, and staff development activities.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in special projects and assist with other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Comply with all Wellstar Health System policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licensure:

  • Valid LPN license in Georgia required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA required.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
