WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an Advanced Apparel Product Designer that will drive an emotional connection with the EMEA consumer through the use of narrative and storytelling. You’ll bring to life close to market trend-relevant, seasonal creative direction by being a color & materials specialist at the product and collection level.
You will use materials, color, trims and hardware to deliver an elevated consumer relevant brand point of view in the marketplace through strategic vision, design direction, storytelling and editing. You'll communicate design concepts effectively. In addition, you will collaborate and build in a fast-paced closer to market environment and make informed design and application decisions with efficiency and agility, while keeping costing targets in mind.
You'll monitor the development of prototype samples and interact with development, pattern making, materials, product make and the sample room to exchange ideas and ensure timely completion of each project.
Your focus is to bring to life the seasonal product direction that is trend relevant EMEA consumer at speed.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Partner with Apparel & Footwear cross-functional teams throughout the product creation process to deliver against closer-to-market dates & gates.
- Collaborate with Product Line Managers, Designers, Sourcing & Costing and Development to achieve desired product detailing.
- Obsesses apparel construction, detailing, colour & materials technology and application.
- Plan and executes product details and reviews all samples, troubleshoots achievability issues, and clearly communicates changes to ensure timely completion of each project.
- Obsess storytelling and share the “why” behind the work.
- Use sophisticated skills to create product expressions that align with global creative direction, seasonal key concepts, gender strategies, franchise journeys, geo assortments that connect with the EMEA consumer.
- Crafts a consumer and brand-right narrative through product design, color & materials based on close to market trends and opportunities.
- In depth knowledge of Nike DNA, history of notable styles and their iconic graphic narrative.
- Embrace ambiguity and simplify complexity.
- Master excellent trend mining skills: Strong connection to consumer and city trends focused on EMEA.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven and relevant design experience exemplifying ability to push material design, and/or relevant experience in Apparel Design.
- Bachelor’s level of thinking in design, art or related field; fashion design, product design, industrial design, accessory and footwear design, or textile design; will also accept a master’s degree in fashion design, product design, accessory and footwear design, industrial design, or textile design.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Keynote & 3D programs software eg. CLO, Browzwear, Substance Painter)
- Drives a high degree of apparel product innovation & excellence
- Ability to apply and perform design skills such as: drawing/sketching, ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing and scale, visual presentation development and layout
- Expert knowledge of pattern making, draping, materials, trims, garment fit, garment construction, and manufacturing.
- Expert knowledge of the industry, marketing principles, and development process.
- Delivers results in a fast-paced environment, flexible and agile.
