Job Description Qualifications:

Position Overview:

Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly and Installation to join the Manufacturing Engineering Team located in Everett, WA. This is a highly collaborative position that supports Operations, Design Engineering, and Program Leadership throughout the design and build of the KC-46 Program.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Entry-Level, Associate and Experienced Manufacturing Engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes knowledge of Boeing design, production, and build processes to effectively influence product design and program architecture for build.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains manufacturing plans in accordance with engineering drawing and process specification requirements. 

  • Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.

  • Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.

  • Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Ability to work both independently and in team settings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively partner with production personnel and other stakeholders.

  • A demonstrated interest in personal learning and development.

  • Ability to analyze complex manufacturing issues and provide innovative solutions.

  • Experience working with CAD/CAM Software (ex CATIA / ENOVIA)

  • Understanding of GD&T

Typical Education/Experience:

Entry Level (Level 1): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range (Entry-Level - Level 1): $68,000 - $92,000 Summary pay range (Associate - Level 2): $80,750 - $109,250 Summary pay range (Experienced - Level 3): $96,050- $129,950
