Position Summary   

This position will be expected to lead projects and deliver analytics focused on technical improvement projects across the terminal network. The position manages assigned scope independently, exercises judgment within defined guidelines, and escalates complex technical, financial, or cross-functional issues as appropriate. Projects may include data integration, reporting tools, automation enablement, etc. with the role focused on project planning, execution and analysis.   

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned projects through all applicable Marathon Project Management Process phases, including planning, execution, and closeout. 

  • Coordinate internal teams to deliver project scope safely, on schedule, and within governance expectations. 

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource estimates, and required documentation in compliance with MPC standards. 

  • Monitor project performance, risks, issues, and changes; escalate scope, cost, schedule, or risk concerns as required. 

  • Partner with Operations and business stakeholders to define requirements, KPIs, success measures, and ensure stakeholder readiness. 

  • Manage projects with automation or system components, coordinating with IT, Terminal Automation, Data Analysis and Cybersecurity teams to support testing, compliance, and business readiness. 

  • Partner with Cybersecurity, IT, and business stakeholders to support the planning, execution, and follow-up of cybersecurity tabletop exercises, including documentation of outcomes, action items, and remediation tracking for the Systems Support team. 

  • Support Management of Change (MOC), commissioning, and transition of projects to operations.  Accountable for all aspects of change readiness, communication, rollout and implementation planning for assigned improvements for focus on end-user experience. 

  • Facilitate project meetings, manage action items, communicate progress and risks, and support final solution acceptance.  

  • Prepare and deliver project status reports, leadership updates, and decision-support materials. 

  • Analyze operational and project data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities; assist in translation of business needs into functional requirements. 

  • Support the development, validation, and deployment of analytics, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions in collaboration with IT and analytics teams. 

  • Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across Terminal Services. 

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
• Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, other related disciplines required.
• Four (4) years of related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting terminal and/or midstream operations. 

  • Experience delivering analytics, reporting, or data-driven improvement initiatives. 

  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, Agile methodologies, Power BI, Tableau, Seeq, PI, Fuel FACS or similar platforms. 

  • Working knowledge of IT/OT concepts and change management processes.
