Overview
Provides administrative support to VNS Health. Performs a wide variety of administrative duties to support the program(s). Assists management and other staff with data management. Works under moderate supervision.
Compensation Range:$23.17 - $28.96 Hourly

What You Will Do
- Responds to internal and external customers and resolves non-clinical problems and complaints in an accurate, effective and timely manner. Establishes effective working relationships with internal and external contacts to ensure problem resolution.
- Enters information pertaining to patient’s demographics, insurance, referral source and plan of care information into appropriate VNS Health systems and follows up to ensure that all necessary information is documented in a timely manner.
- Organizes and coordinates the day-to-day operations and administrative activities and functions to support the program(s).
- Assists with preparation of correspondence, presentations, reports, etc. by inputting, retrieving, billing, compiling and formatting information.
- Maintains calendar of due dates for recurring reports, information and dates as requested. Monitors and follows-up on outstanding reports/requests. Coordinates and participates in special events.
- Performs daily administrative functions, including but not limited to, word processing, Photoshop, spreadsheet maintenance, photocopying, faxing, filing, opening and routing mail, etc.
- Assist in developing training and education programs for program staff regarding policies, procedures and regulations related to the program.
- Monitors, orders, and maintains inventory of supplies and literature. Maintains equipment and calls for service, as necessary.
- For Billing only:
- Performs pre-billing review and quality assurance on progress notes, entitlements and demographic data to ensure accuracy of monthly billing and compliance with Medicaid billing regulations. Performs all functions necessary for the completion of timely billing and resubmission of denied claims.
- Develops protocols and workflows in relation to issues identified when providing quality assurance review of progress notes on an ongoing basis.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or the equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Work Experience:
- Minimum three years of general office experience required
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows required
- Strong organizational and communication skills required
