What you'll do...
About the Role:
As a Risk Monitoring Manager (Signal Coordination) at Walmart’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), you will play a key role in monitoring and analyzing the global risk landscape in real time. Working on a shift-based schedule, you will be responsible for identifying, validating, and prioritizing critical risk issues. You will manage incoming intelligence from various sources, organize and deduplicate information, and ensure it is effectively communicated to the appropriate GSOC teams for further action. Using a variety of risk monitoring tools, you will provide critical situational awareness to internal and external stakeholders, enabling swift and informed decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Your quick judgment and ability to distinguish between relevant and non-relevant information will be essential to the success of the team and overall operations.
What you’ll bring:
Risk Intelligence/Monitoring Expertise: Strong experience in real-time risk monitoring and information management, using tools such as Dataminr, Factal, ESRI data catalog, and open-source/government sources.
Critical Thinking and Judgment: The ability to quickly assess and prioritize emerging risk issues, determining what information is relevant and what requires action, while applying sound judgment under pressure.
Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail with a proven ability to organize, deduplicate, and manage large volumes of information, ensuring that the GSOC team has access to accurate and concise data.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clearly conveying risk issues to both internal and external stakeholders, as well as creating situational awareness across teams.
Team Collaboration: Strong team player capable of working seamlessly with other GSOC teams, external partners, and across shifts to ensure effective coordination and issue management.
What you’ll do:
Monitor Global Risks: Continuously monitor the global risk landscape in real time, identifying key issues that could impact Walmart’s operations, employees, or interests.
Analyze and Validate Information: Assess incoming information, validate its accuracy, and deduplicate/conflict-check data from multiple sources to ensure clarity and relevance.
Prioritize Risk Issues: Apply sound judgment to categorize and prioritize risk issues based on their potential impact, escalating key issues to the GSOC for appropriate awareness and action.
Utilize Risk Monitoring Tools: Leverage advanced monitoring and intelligence tools, such as Dataminr, Factal, ESRI data catalog, and various open-source platforms, to gather actionable intelligence.
Coordinate with Teams: Communicate risk updates to internal and external teams within the GSOC, working collaboratively to ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed and prepared to respond.
Preferred Qualifications:
Real-Time Risk Monitoring Experience: Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where real-time monitoring and information validation is critical.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with risk monitoring platforms such as Dataminr, Factal, ESRI data catalog, and open-source/governmental risk intelligence sources.
Information Management Skills: Strong capability in organizing and synthesizing large amounts of data, ensuring accuracy and relevance for decision-making processes.
Communication and Collaboration: Experience working with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to communicate risk information effectively.
Relevant Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Intelligence Studies, or a related field is preferred.
Foreign Language Skills: Proficiency in key foreign languages relevant to Walmart, such as Chinese (Mandarin), French, Spanish, etc.
Security Operations Experience: Experience working in a high-risk security environment is a plus.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
