Your Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Location: Romania - Brasov (on-site)
In this role you will participate in web application software development for utility network management. Our customers are electricity, water and district heating utilities and our products are used in their core processes in network life cycle management.
You will be responsible for executing manual test scenarios and contributing to the growth of our automated test suites. You will work closely with developers and senior testers to understand project requirements and verify that new features meet our high standards before release.
Manual Testing: Execute detailed manual test cases for new features, focusing on user workflows in the web portal and map interfaces;
Test Scenarios & Scripts: Assist in writing and maintaining test scenarios and scripts based on user stories and technical specifications;
Release Validation: specific testing scenarios during the release flow to verify fixes and ensure system stability;
Automation Support (FE): Contribute to the frontend automation, writing basic scripts and maintaining existing tests;
Automation Support (BE): Assist in running and maintaining backend API tests using .NET tools, ensuring endpoints return correct data and status codes;
Test data management: create and maintain test data for various testing tasks;
Bug Reporting: Accurately document bugs with clear reproduction steps and follow up on their resolution in Jira.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in software testing or a related technical role;
Manual Testing: Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and attention to detail;
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of programming with JavaScript/TypeScript or C#/.NET;
API Knowledge: Understanding of how REST APIs work and experience using tools like Postman or Swagger;
Database Knowledge: Understanding of relational databases and capability of using them effectively;
Learning Mindset: Eagerness to learn test automation frameworks and complex domain logic (utility networks).
Bug Detection: Timely identification and reporting of issues during the development sprint;
Test Execution: Consistent execution of assigned test plans within the release timeline;
Skill Growth: Progressively taking on more automation tasks and reducing reliance on purely manual testing.
