Job Description Summary:

What you need to know about the role:
As a Compliance Product Manager your main responsibility is to ensure our card processing platform is compliant with critical and mandatory compliance updates from the different card schemes (eg Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) as well as local and regional regulators. You will prioritize compliance updates based on customer demand, compliance criticality, business impact and other factors to develop a comprehensive compliance roadmap for all of our regions. You will also work closely with other card product teams as well as client-facing teams to identify and quickly respond to requests for additional compliance features as requested by the business and/or our key clients.

Meet the team:
We are the Braintree Cards Processing team. We work to bring the latest features in credit, debit and prepaid card processing features to our merchants and consumers. We work across all divisions of PayPal to ensure we are delivering new cards processing features to our Enterprise merchants. You will work on the most critical core features of the PayPal Braintree payment platform, powering the most well-known Enterprise merchants globally.

Job Description:

Your way to impact:

  • Formulate a long and short-term product strategy to develop industry leading merchant facing products

  • Understand merchant behavior and data to understand their needs and pain points. Deep understanding of market landscape, and devise strategy to improve the customer impact.

  • Deeply understand new card scheme and regulatory obligations as they relate to our merchants and be able to prioritize implementation based on multiple factors, including cost avoidance, improved acceptance, etc.

  • Develop clear product roadmap and drive execution across the organization by developing trusted relationships with stakeholders and making strategic tradeoffs informed by data and driving execution.

Your day to day:

  • Work with cross-functional teams (business, partners, program management, architecture, development) to drive alignment around product strategy.

  • Own business outcomes and be responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue target.

  • Define OKRs and proactively measure & KPIs to evaluate and understand product value.

  • Identify new opportunities based on research, industry trends and best in-class product management and innovation practices, by developing a data-driven point of view by leveraging customer/consumer science best practices.

  • Understand PayPal’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized as best in class.

  • Analyze current consumer and merchant experiences to define friction points and create seamless and effortless experiences.

  • Define detailed product requirements, scope, ship, measure features and use rapid cycles to iterate and learn 

  • Drive product development by building end-to-end solutions with a team of world- class engineers and designers 

What do you need to bring:

  • 5-7 years of product management experience

  • Proven track record for building, launching, and maintaining high-scale, successful products

  • Experience creating and managing global product roadmap ensuring consistent execution of the product life cycle process from concept to launch

  • Ability to collaborate, build consensus, deliver, and drive technical decisions with various sized customer and other external stakeholder groups.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to convey a product strategy to partners and senior leaders.

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in fast-paced environments 

  • Experience working with internet technologies, or the payments industry is desirable
