What you'll do:
As Vice President, Senior Financial Crimes Officer at MUFG in Metro Manila, you will be entrusted with leading the charge against financial crime by implementing strategic compliance initiatives across diverse business units. Your daily responsibilities will involve advising senior management on complex reputational risks while overseeing regulatory change management efforts that shape policy development. Coordinating with internal audit teams ensures seamless issue management and policy alignment. By monitoring KPIs, running governance calls, overseeing dashboards, implementing global procedures, supporting technology rollouts, engaging with FCC teams for RFIs—and driving operational efficiency through capacity assessments—you’ll make a lasting impact on MUFG’s commitment to risk management excellence.
What you bring:
Your proven experience as Vice President, Senior Financial Crimes Officer will showcase your deep understanding of financial crime compliance gained through leadership roles within major financial institutions. You bring practical expertise in managing anti-money laundering programmes alongside anti-bribery/corruption initiatives—ensuring robust protection against evolving threats. Your familiarity with KYC/CDD/EDD processes allows you to conduct thorough investigations into high-risk customers while staying ahead of enforcement trends. Leading cross-border investigations has honed your collaborative skills when responding to complex regulatory inquiries. You possess subject matter expertise in AML/Sanctions regulations and have hands-on experience using transaction monitoring systems for alert logic analysis. Preparing for regulatory exams comes naturally thanks to your dependable approach toward issue management under pressure. Leadership qualities paired with project management abilities enable you to nurture teams within a supportive environment focused on achieving communal goals. Your understanding of governance structures—including real-time monitoring systems—ensures operational oversight across outsourced delivery centres.
