The Special Operations Team at EvenUp operates at the intersection between Business Operations, Special Projects, Product and Legal Operations. The team is dedicated to delivering consistent improvement in operational metrics, productivity, efficiency, and overall performance across the organization. Sample Special Operations projects include expanding the footprint of our operations team into international markets, launching new offices, providing operational support to new product launches, creating Learning & Development training programs across EvenUp, etc. Our ideal candidate would have experience wearing multiple hats in operations and will have had experience building robust, actionable analytics, program management, and managing teams or operations in legal technology, service delivery or operational companies. You are equally at home deep in a spreadsheet or SQL database and in rolling up your sleeves and managing operations teams running a process workflow. 

What you'll do:

  • Scope and manage projects from start to finish, driving improvements across our Business Operations, Product, Special Projects, and Legal Operations teams, among others

  • Achieve operational goals for efficiency, quality, and cost. Be the subject matter expert on team workflows, processes, and procedures to drive operational improvement in service of company objectives

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain operational excellence metrics, reporting and dashboarding

  • Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence in execution

  • Work cross-functionally with our Product, Legal Operations, Engineering, and Data teams to identify and capitalize on optimization opportunities

  • Create and maintain playbooks, SOPs, feedback loops, training resources, detailed knowledge bases, and similar materials to create sustainable, scalable production routines

What we look for:

  • 4+ years of experience in an operational leadership position, preferably within in a fast-growing, highly collaborative environment or in the legal or technology sectors

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing plans that improve operational metrics and drive business growth

  • Proven experience in leading teams to achieve high levels of performance and efficiency

  • Demonstrated work experience managing operational, production-based workflows and teams, including BPO management, vendor management, and offshoring

  • Significant experience building, optimizing, and implementing related processes, protocols, resources, and performance management frameworks

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels

  • Effective alignment of cross-functional teams to achieve shared performance goals

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable performance strategies. Proficiency in working with/manipulating large data sets via Excel, G-sheets, Airtable, etc. (SQL a plus)
