Northrop Grumman Advanced Weapons has an opening for a Software Configuration Analyst or a Principal Software Configuration Analyst with an active clearance, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. A qualified candidate will help develop, enforce, and maintain Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes on large-scale program in accordance with the Organization’s Standard Software Process (OSSP) and contractual requirements. The analyst will also support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. This position will be in Northridge, CA.
As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons, you will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation’s warfighters. The ideal candidate will be supporting one of our programs for defining and architecting a secured missile weapon system. This position will require close collaboration with team members of other projects within the organization for security architecture designs as well as external partners and customers.
An SCM Analyst systematically manages, organizes, and controls changes in software products throughout their development lifecycle. SCM ensures that software systems remain consistent, reliable, and maintainable by tracking and managing changes to various software components. Ensures implementation of SCM, code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines on applicable programs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Coordinate and generate configured builds for test and delivery.
· Communicate issues and risks pertaining to software changes, solutions, and releases.
· Administration of (including coordination with IT for installation, upgrades, and maintenance), and conduct training on, the Software CM and product lifecycle management tools.
· Facilitate and scribe for software change control board meetings, create build and delivery documentation, and implement assigned process improvement activities.
· Establish and implement procedures to coordinate changes to program data and products.
· Liaison between software engineers and the organization’s Product Lifecycle Management tool.
· Conduct and support internal and external customer audits.
· Generate metrics and code counts for program management and proposal efforts.
· Ability to multi-task and complete tasks with a sense of urgency.
· Software CM analysts work in an office environment and traditionally work during normal business hours, however occasional late shifts or on-call remote work may be requested.
· Excellent communication skills are essential.
· High level of problem-solving skill is required to troubleshoot software CM system issues and prevent downtime.
The selected candidate for this position is required to be on-site in Northridge, CA.
Basic Qualifications: Software Configuration Analyst
· Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of related experience; or Master's degree with 0 years of experience
· Possess understanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards
· Experience performing software configuration management for one or more programs
· Experience with Jira, Jenkins and Git/Version Control Software
· Ability to express technical information clearly at different organizational levels
· Experience with coordinating/creating configured software builds for test and delivery
· Active Interim Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with Agile development
· Excellent technical writing and team building skills
· Experience with SW CM branching strategies & tagging, pull requests, merges, and build versioning
· Ability to identify the needs to achieve build automation; experience designing and implementing CI/CD solutions
· Active Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00Salary Range 2: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
