Synopsis of the role 

At Equifax, The Summer 2026 Data Analytics Co-op will participate in a 15-week co-op program as a gateway to full-time career paths for current university students. The program provides meaningful projects with direct impact on our business as well as exposure to senior leaders and opportunities to network. Co-ops at Equifax are helping us shape the future of analytics for the Company. More specifically, they leverage data and use various modeling and analytical techniques to provide insights to our customers. Our employees have the opportunity to work on diverse projects solving business problems within different industries, in an environment where teamwork and innovation is celebrated. 

  • The 15 week co-op  program runs from May 5th 2026 to August 20th 2026.

  • Co ops are required to follow our hybrid onsite policy of  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - onsite for the duration of the 15 - week program. 

  • Monday and Friday are remote work days. 

  • Co ops must be local to the Toronto area and have the ability to commute to our office in Toronto based on where the role is.

What you’ll do

  • Leverage multiple data sources to provide analysis and make contributions to new or existing product solutions

  • Learn and work with our Google Cloud environment, leveraging our Big Data Platform

  • Contribute actively to existing and new analytical requests from internal or external clients

  • Support required research, explorative analysis, recommendations to current product developments.

What experience you need

  • MSc or Ph.D. Student in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Econometrics or other related quantitative disciplines

  • Demonstrable problem solving skills coupled with an understanding of how to apply statistical and machine learning concepts to uncover valuable insights

  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, Big Query and/or SAS

  • Curious, flexible and highly driven personality

  • Good written and verbal communications skills within an ability to clearly explain statistical concepts to a non-statistical audience

What could set you apart

  •  2+ years of progressive experience within a Data and Analytics, Data Science role

  • 1+ years of proven experience Working within Google’s Cloud platform

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Outstanding personal initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Ability to meet deadlines and efficiently multitask
