Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Interface & Logistics Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to lead and manage all technical and operational interfaces between multiple parties while planning and controlling logistics to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of major infrastructure works.
Position Overview: The Interface & Logistics Manager will lead and manage all technical and operational interfaces between multiple contractors, consultants, stakeholders, and authorities on the project, while planning and controlling logistics to ensure safe, efficient and timely delivery of works. The role is a key part of Parsons’ PMC team, acting as a central coordination point to avoid scope gaps, conflicts and delays across all packages.
What You'll Be Doing:
Interface Management
Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Project Interface Management Plan in alignment with Parsons PMC procedures and client requirements.
Establishing and managing interface tools including Interface Register, Interface Matrix, Scope Delineation and Interface Agreement Forms for all contracts and disciplines.
Identifying, categorizing, and tracking all interface points between infrastructure packages (roads, utilities, buildings, transportation, ITS, etc.) and external stakeholders (authorities, operators, third parties).
Coordinating and chairing regular interface coordination meetings between contractors, consultants, and client, ensuring timely resolution of interface issues and clear action ownership.
Defining and implementing escalation paths for interface conflicts, including technical and contractual escalation to Parsons management and client leadership when required.
Reviewing and validating contractors’ interface-related drawings, method statements, and programmes to ensure alignment at tie-in points, corridors, and shared assets.
Managing interface dependencies and constraints to minimize rework, claims, and delays, ensuring full alignment between design, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
Supporting change management and claims avoidance by providing interface impact assessments and recommendations to Parsons PMC and the client.
Logistics Management
Developing and overseeing the Project Logistics Plan covering materials delivery, site access, laydown areas, traffic management, temporary facilities, and construction sequencing.
Coordinating logistics across multiple contractors to optimize use of corridors, access roads, storage areas, and cranes/equipment, avoiding conflicts and unsafe conditions.
Working with contractors to plan and schedule material deliveries, heavy transport, and critical lifts, ensuring compliance with local authority regulations and project HSSE requirements.
Monitoring and managing logistics KPIs (delivery performance, congestion, utilization, etc.) using PMIS and other tools and proposing corrective actions where needed.
Ensuring integration of logistics plans with interface constraints, utility diversions, and phased handovers, particularly in live or sensitive operational environments.
Stakeholder & Authority Coordination
Acting as a focal point for coordination with relevant authorities and stakeholders (e.g. municipal entities, utility providers, transport authorities, operators), especially at physical and operational interface points.
Supporting approvals and permits related to interfaces and logistics (road closures, diversions, utility connections, working windows, etc.).
Ensuring clear communication of interface requirements to all stakeholders, including constraints affecting operations, safety, and public impact.
PMIS, Reporting & Documentation
Maintaining interface and logistics data in the project PMIS (e.g. Aconex or equivalent), ensuring accurate and up-to-date records, action tracking, and document control.
Preparing periodic interface and logistics status reports, dashboards, and KPIs for Parsons PMC and client management.
Recording, maintaining, and updating interface agreements, minutes of meetings, decisions, and approvals to ensure traceability and auditability.
HSSE & Compliance
Ensuring all interface and logistics activities comply with project HSSE requirements, local regulations, and Parsons PMC procedures.
Identifying and helping mitigate interface-related HSSE risks (e.g. conflicting work fronts, traffic management, simultaneous operations, live utilities).
Promoting a proactive safety culture among contractors in relation to logistics, access, and interfaces.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
More than 15 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, utilities, or industrial projects; experience in KSA/GCC is highly preferred.
Proven experience in interface management and logistics coordination on major multi-contractor projects; PMC experience is an advantage.
Strong understanding of infrastructure utilities (potable/fire water, irrigation, MV/LV, telecom, drainage, GRP, etc.) and their coordination in shared corridors.
Demonstrated capability in preparing and managing interface documentation and logistics plans.
Experience with PMIS platforms (e.g. Aconex) and strong reporting/documentation skills.
Familiarity with relevant KSA standards, authority requirements, and permitting processes.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Ability to manage multiple interfaces and priorities under time and schedule pressure.
High level of organization and attention to detail.
Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
