We are looking for a Product Owner – Technical Search to lead and manage our search solutions across abb.com, Robotics One, and our internal intranet. This person will ensure that our search tools (such as Elastic Search or Coveo) deliver fast, accurate, and relevant results for both customers and employees.

You will help improve user satisfaction, reduce time spent searching, and support the success of multiple digital platforms across ABB.

YOUR SCOPE

• Own the Search Product: You will be responsible for the overall direction, quality, and performance of our search platforms.
• Prioritize Improvements: You will decide which features, fixes, and enhancements should be worked on next based on user needs and business goals.
• Work with the Scrum Team: You will collaborate closely with developers, UX designers, and analysts in an agile environment to plan and deliver improvements.
• Understand User Needs: You will gather feedback from content owners, business teams, robotics teams, and internal users to understand what they need from the search experience.
• Manage the Search Roadmap: You will define the long-term plan for how our search capabilities should evolve and make sure it aligns with company strategy.
• Ensure High-Quality Search Results: You will test new features, review search analytics, and work with developers to continuously improve the relevance and accuracy of search results.
• Coordinate Across Platforms: You will ensure that search behaves consistently on all platforms - abb.com, Robotics One, and the intranet - while meeting the specific needs of each.
• Communicate Clearly: You will translate technical topics into clear, simple explanations for business stakeholders and leadership.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience working with search technologies (Elastic Search, Coveo, or similar) is a must - technical depth is needed but you don’t have to be a developer.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively.
• Experience working in agile or scrum teams.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
• A user-focused mindset—always aiming to improve the search experience.
• Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using search analytics and KPIs; experience with GA4 is a plus. 
• Familiarity with APIs, indexing pipelines, and enterprise content systems (CMS, PIM, documentation system)
• Experience working with complex (languages, file types) or technical content is a plus
