Department Overview

Silent Sentinel’s state-of-the-art long-range surveillance cameras offer clear visibility in the complex and extreme environments associated with military, aviation, maritime and critical infrastructure. Our teams based in Ware are growing and we are looking to onboard skilled personnel to complement Motorola Solutions’ portfolio of fixed video cameras

Job Description

We are currently seeking Field Engineers with significant knowledge and experience of surveillance camera systems and networking principles. The engineer should possess significant customer-facing experience, with the ability to make timely decisions and prioritize complex activities. Sufficient experience and knowledge are required in order to participate in customer engagements from discovery meetings through to capability delivery and support. Plans and performs planning and post processing activities for field service to external customers independently directly or through customer interface during Pre-Sales and Post Sales Phases.

Pre-Sales/Post Sales (Projects):

• Creation of final design documentation
• Response to the comments sent by customer directly via questions related to part of the project or complete project.
• Field survey when required to assist field engineers in case there is some problem in the working of the camera system.
• Plans and executes technical tasks according to given tasks, along with existing processes and instructions.
• Works with the responsibility of responding to customer problems directly or through internal customer interface.
• Solving technical problems related to design.

The purpose of this profile to define a specific field engineer role that requires expertise in installation, commissioning, and optimization industrial & commercial surveillance camera & services. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and post-processing using advanced tools across all technologies to ensure successful task completion.

Basic Requirements

• Extensive experience in video surveillance camera systems engineering.
• Knowledge in Industrial /commercial surveillance camera.
• Troubleshooting in video surveillance camera systems IP67 sealed compliant device.
• IT video surveillance camera Networking experience.
• Installation & commissioning video surveillance camera.
• Certified at Heights for installation if required (or has held a certificate for working at Heights).
• Willing and able to travel regularly both within the UK and overseas, A must!!
• Proven understanding of networking principles and tools
• Knowledge of safe working practices including risk assessment and mitigation
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ensuring FE Task Plans/Technical Reports are completed accurately and in accordance with agreed sales/support objectives.
