Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that enhance various system components. The role requires working closely with different teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient applications. The engineer actively participates in iterative development cycles, continuously improving software performance and adapting solutions to meet evolving business requirements. Collaboration and problem-solving are integral parts of the daily routine, ensuring that the software aligns with organizational goals and user expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- 8+ years in data analytics / BI / data platform roles, with strong ownership of end-to-end reporting and analytics delivery.
- Proven experience administering and supporting Microsoft Fabric (tenant/workspace governance, capacity management, security, monitoring, and cost/performance optimization).
- Advanced expertise in Power BI:
- Data modeling (star schema), DAX optimization, Power Query (M), incremental refresh, composite models
- Performance tuning, deployment pipelines, workspace governance, RLS/OLS, and dataset lifecycle management
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the implementation of best practices to improve software quality and delivery timelines.
- ALM practices (solutions, versioning, dev/test/prod promotion)
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to align project objectives and technical strategies.
- Advantage: Strong SQL skills and experience building/maintaining analytics datasets, semantic models, and reusable data assets.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI), Microsoft Power Apps.
- Strong experience in software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to design and implement scalable software architectures.
- Familiarity with integration of custom solutions within enterprise environments.
- Competence in troubleshooting and optimizing application performance.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Fabric.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
