As the Manager, Value Proposition, you will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that empower our customers to achieve real financial progress. This role requires a deep understanding of the competitive landscape to craft and deliver compelling value propositions that attract and deepen client relationships. You will oversee the end-to-end execution of initiatives, collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless market delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Analyze emerging trends and identify strategic opportunities, offering actionable recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Product Strategy: Identify and leverage emerging trends and use cases in digital financial product development to inform strategic planning, shape product roadmaps, and launch products that align with customer needs and deliver business value.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough competitive benchmarking to highlight product strengths and gaps, translating insights into strategic initiatives.
  • Business Case Development: Develop robust business cases by assessing market needs, exploring potential solutions, and evaluating ROI, ultimately guiding the creation of strategic roadmaps.
  • Lifecycle Management: Recommend and manage product lifecycle strategies, from initial conception to delivery, ensuring continuous alignment with overarching business objectives.
  • Product Marketing: Build connected go-to-market strategies, implement novel marketing tactics, and build and maintain cross-functional relationships to influence change in our business outcomes.
  • Product Adoption and Activation: Craft compelling narratives that showcase the value proposition of product features and deliver these messages through integrated campaigns across multiple channels and in-product experiences.  
  • Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with Marketing to create and execute strategic marketing plans, including offers and campaigns that drive customer engagement and product growth.
  • End-to-End Execution: Lead the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment and flawless delivery across all touchpoints.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, digital, risk, sales enablement, legal, compliance, and external partners to bring the right value proposition, positioning, messaging, channel strategy and growth plans to life.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key product performance metrics, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies to optimize outcomes.
  • Change Management: Support and manage change initiatives, with a focus on execution, sustainment, and continuous improvement to enhance customer experience.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Design and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights to guide decision-making.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Strategy, Consulting and/or Project Delivery roles within customer-focused industries.
  • Strong knowledge of banking product management and industry-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in executing customer strategies and value propositions, especially those requiring co-ordination and project management across the organization with multiple key stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in retail and business banking is an asset.
  • Master’s Degree (MBA preferred).

  • Ability to influence and lead diverse and cross functional groups; experienced change agent.
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to analyze complex issues, consolidate learnings, and develop actionable strategies and business cases.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Team oriented, flexible, and collaborative.
  • Results driven, self-motivated and committed to excellence.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.

Salary:

$68,000.00 - $126,000.00

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
