Position Overview:

As part of the talented Global Supply Chain & AMER Operations team, you will oversee Product Performance and Compliance globally for Navico Group. Additionally, this role will oversee KPI standardization and best practice implementation across the division for elements of site quality and warranty processes via leadership of a divisional Quality Council. This individual will need to be able to navigate in a rapidly growing environment and interact with a wide variety of colleagues both on and off site, from a variety of locations around the globe.

Essential Functions:

Product Performance

  • Chair the Product Performance Committee (PPC), a cross functional team that addresses Navico product safety and integrity issues. The purpose of the committee is to:
  •  Establish processes and controls to identify product safety and integrity issues as well as identify solutions that address these issues.
  • Track the progress of all product safety/integrity issues including identification, containment, investigation, and implementation of resolution.
  • Ensure product recalls/bulletins/improvements comply with relevant requirements, in partnership with the Legal Team as appropriate.
  • Promote Brunswick’s “Do the right Thing” and “See Something/Say Something” philosophies.
  • Create metrics related to product safety/integrity issues in order to seek opportunities to be preventive and proactively form lessons learned.
  • Drive PPC process improvements.

Compliance

  • Provide expertise on product compliance requirements, including internal and external requirements (e.g., industry requirements, regulatory requirements, customer requirements, etc.).
  • Identify top compliance risks and create action plans to address, in conjunction with the enterprise compliance team.
  • Oversee day to day product compliance actions for Navico Group.
  • Provide single point of contact for customer requests related to product compliance and coordinate responses with other members of the Navico and enterprise teams.
  • Collaborate with enterprise compliance team to leverage tools, expertise, and approaches across divisions.
  • Represent Navico Group in the enterprise-wide Compliance Office team.

Divisional Quality

  • Lead council consisting of quality leadership from each operating site.
  • Develop and implement standardized KPIs and reporting across sites for key quality and warranty metrics.
  • Ensure best practice sharing and implementation of site processes related to internal quality, customer quality, and warranty concerns.
  • Organize reporting on quality performance/initiatives on a regular basis to the Senior Leadership team.
  • All other duties assigned.

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years’ experience in a role related to product safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of global compliance landscape (e.g. product/manufacturing certifications, PFAS, RoHS, EPR, EU battery regulation, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze and communicate their potential impacts, and find solutions.
  • Extensive experience in developing corrective actions with suppliers, manufacturing operations, and customers with regards to complex quality related issues.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes related to product quality and safety standards. Experience with product liability incidents is preferred.

  • Ability to drive collaboration, communication, and alignment amongst cross functional teams to achieve results.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated success navigating through change and driving improvement and standardization in an evolving organization.
  • Positive attitude coupled with a passion for service excellence and spirit of continuous improvement.
