The Social Media and Public Relations Specialist in the College of Veterinary Medicine’s supports the college’s mission by advancing its visibility, reputation and engagement through strategic media relations and social media efforts. As a member of the Strategic Communications and Marketing team and the college’s Advancement team, this position plays an integral role in supporting alumni relations, fundraising initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
Working collaboratively across the college and university, the specialist develops and manages compelling, audience-focused content that tells the college’s story and strengthens relationships with
key audiences, including current and prospective students, alumni, donors, Veterinary Medical Center clients and the broader public. This role contributes directly to amplifying the college’s voice, promoting its mission areas and reinforcing its position as a model comprehensive college of
veterinary medicine.
The successful candidate is a proactive communicator and thoughtful strategist who is comfortable working with faculty, staff and students, manages multiple projects simultaneously and actively seeks opportunities to elevate the college’s profile. This position offers broad exposure to communications and marketing functions within a complex academic and clinical environment.

Target Salary Range: $51,500.00 - $67,250.00 per year; commensurate with experience, internal equity, the unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
