The Solutions Analyst/Architect will play a key role in driving Nanyang Business School’s digital transformation agenda by designing and implementing automation and data-driven solutions across academic, administrative, and research-facing business units.

This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, working closely with faculty, professional staff, and central IT teams to improve operational efficiency, enhance data transparency, and enable next-generation analytics, reporting, and AI-enabled solutions that support the School’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business & Solution Analysis

• Partner with academic and administrative stakeholders to understand end-to-end processes, pain points, and data needs across teaching, research, student services, and corporate functions

• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical solution designs

• Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and data standardisation across the School

Automation & Intelligent Solutions

• Design and implement automation solutions (e.g. workflow automation, RPA, intelligent document processing) to reduce manual effort and improve turnaround times

• Support the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities such as data quality monitoring, anomaly detection, and intelligent analytics

• Work with internal and external teams to ensure scalable, secure, and sustainable automation solutions

Data & Analytics Enablement

• Design and deliver data marts, dashboards, and analytical datasets to support management reporting, accreditation needs, and strategic decision-making

• Integrate data from multiple internal systems and external sources to enable a single, trusted view of information

• Support the development of next-generation data products, including advanced analytics and self-service BI capabilities

Delivery & Governance

• Manage solution delivery lifecycle, including requirements definition, testing (SIT/UAT), deployment, and post-implementation support

• Coordinate with vendors, central IT, and offshore teams where applicable

• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards within the university environment

Requirements:

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline

• Postgraduate qualification in Computing, Data Analytics, or Artificial Intelligence preferred

Relevant Experience

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in solutions analysis, data analytics, automation, or technology consulting

• Proven experience delivering data platforms, automation, or analytics solutions in complex organisations

• Experience working in regulated, large-scale, or knowledge-driven environments (e.g. finance, healthcare, education, public sector) is advantageous

Skills & Knowledge

• Technical & Analytical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation

• Solid experience with SQL and analytical data platforms (e.g. Spark / Databricks, relational databases)

• Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g. RPA, intelligent document processing, workflow automation)

• Experience designing dashboards and reports using modern BI tools (e.g. Power BI)

• Working knowledge of AI / machine learning concepts and their practical application in analytics and operations

• Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments

• Strong documentation, solution design, and quality assurance capabilities
