General Description:
Under general direction, assists in planning, directing and coordinating activities for Respiratory Service programs.

General Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an approved respiratory care program.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a registered respiratory therapist.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. ACLS (American Heart Association) required if working in the Pediatric ICU. PALS (American Heart Association) required if working in the Pediatric ICU. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required if working in the Neonatal ICU.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of respiratory therapy operations and equipment. Knowledge of patient reactions to various medical gases and signs of medical complications. Knowledge of principles and methods of supervision and training. Skill in using and maintaining all respiratory therapy equipment. Skill in placing patients at ease. Ability to keep necessary equipment and medical records. Ability to deal effectively with others.
