What you'll do:

Field Operations is the heart of our business, responsible for delivering valuable and quality care to our property owners, enabling memorable vacations for our guests, and enriching the communities we call home. The Field Operations team is responsible for all the functions required to maintain a healthy vacation rental property.

The Field engineering team is responsible for development and maintenance of the tools used by the Field Operations team. These include a mobile application for housekeepers and property managers, web application to manage our stuff and the work they do, or automated work scheduling.

As a software engineer, your role includes:

• Contributing to the full development cycle of the product (design, development, testing, release, operations)
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-tested code aligned with established standards
• Engaging in collaborative code and design reviews, offering valuable feedback
• Collaborating with senior engineers and product managers across teams
• Mentoring junior engineers and nurturing a healthy and collaborative team culture

Skills you'll need:

• Minimum 3 years of experience with full stack software development
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code that places maintainability over cleverness
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Experience with:

• Backend development (Python, Django) 
• Frontend development (TypeScript, React, Redux, PWA)
• SQL and relational databases
• Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Building and developing in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Nice to have AWS (Lambda, SQS, RDS, Aurora)
