Your Opportunity

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for ensuring a high level of accuracy of inventory levels in the facility by performing cycle counts daily, weekly, and quarterly, and resolving all discrepancies in a timely manner.

Core Responsibilities

  • Completes physical inventories, cycle counts, random or receipt audits, and reconciliations on a daily, monthly, or quarterly basis.
  • Make recommendations for inventory best practices/solutions and assists with procedural changes to improve accuracy.
  • Research inventory discrepancies, including variances in usage and cost by performing root cause analysis to identify and resolve inventory variance.  
  • Analyses whether the variances are acceptable or whether they need to be investigated further and corrected.
  • Performs inventory computer transactions in the appropriate business software.
  • Investigate claim emails daily and validate, document, and report any discrepancies.
  • Make recommendations for inventory best practices/solutions and assists with procedural changes to improve accuracy.
  • Adheres to all safety procedures / standards within the course of performing job tasks.
  • Performs any other duties assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), required.
  • PC skills including experience with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and Word) and SAP, preferred.
  • Ability to utilizes an order picker and other P.I.T. equipment in the execution of counting locations.
  • Ability to utilizes RF scanner gun to execute counting and investigate inventory variances and inventory reconciliation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong problem solving, math, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced office is highly recommended.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance, vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently required to sit, use hands to handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
  • The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the warehouse. 
  • Being able to tolerate extreme cold temperatures. (Warehouse environment).
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the warehouse area.
