About the Role
To support the team to work on a variety of investment finance operations, trustee monitoring, reporting and analytical matters including trade order management, valuation monitoring, custodian monitoring, regulatory/management reporting and financial reporting relating to the MPF and pension products.
In addition, this role will monitor:
1) the custody and safekeeping of property of the relevant collective investment scheme: Involve in the monitoring of the custodians of the Relevant CIS.
2) Oversight of the operation of the Relevant CIS: Involve in the monitoring of the service providers of the Relevant CIS (such as the custodian, fund administrators and investment managers, etc.) and the operational aspects of the Relevant CIS such as compliance with investment and borrowing restrictions, cash flow, fund accounting and valuation, the issue, repurchase, redemption and cancellation (as applicable) of the units of the Relevant CIS.
He/She will involve in the monitoring of CMR requirements, post-trade compliance monitoring by custodian/fund administrator, segregation of bank accounts, custody and safekeeping of assets, etc.
The individual will also assist in the implementation of various projects such as MPFA regulatory projects, fund restructuring, new fund structure, implementation, launch of digitalization and data analytics initiatives, process transformation and automation, integration of offshore supporting team, to be carried out effectively and timely. To manage the regular reporting and meeting materials of all related committees
Roles and Responsibilities:
Major duties for this position are:
- Support the daily investment operations and reporting for the pension platform (trade order placement, valuation and reconciliation, etc.)
- Support implementation of various initiatives, new platform mirgation, process transformation and improvement for pension funds business
- Support the implementation of regulatory products, restructuring of the pension fund platform, fund restrucuturing and other ad hoc projects
- Support the team to re-enforce various investment controls and operations, regulatory and investment reporting, risk monitoring and review for pension funds
- Monitor the automation projects relating to order processing, valuation and reporting
- Review regulatory reportings and ensure accuracy and timeliness of submission
- Support analytical review on the fee and expenses, cashflow, fund performance and other fund related reporting
- Support the integration of supporting team project and KPI performance montioring,
- Liase with external and internal auditors. Review financial statements for the funds
- Support team to perform due diligence on external service providers
Job allocation by percentage:
Assigned tasks and projects (50%)
- ensure assigned special and transfomration projects are completed within planned schedule.
External and internal audit (10%)
- Coordination of audit/other service providers visits and taking proper follow up actions on issues identified from the visits/due diligence.
Regular and regulatory reporting (20%)
- ensure regular investment reporting, regulatory returns and year end financial statements are being prepared accurately and submitted on a timely basis
Other responsibility (20%)
- Assist in the ad hoc projects
Minimum Job Requirements:
- University graduate, preferably major in business or finance related subject or equivalent
- CPA Qualification
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in investment finance, treasury, financial accounting/reporting and fund investment operations and valuations
- SFC RA 13 License Representative Qualifications
- Special project experience is preferred
- Strong data analytical and reporting/presentation skills
- Cooperative, responsible detail minded person with a positive attitude, able to manage stress and work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in both spoken & written English & Chinese
- Proficiency in PC skills (MS PowerPoints & Excel, BI )
