The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Partnerships Team as a Business Development Manager / Key Account Manager in Melbourne on a 14-month max term contract. Within this role you will be responsible for driving growth through the development and management of strong, strategic relationships with aggregator partner sales teams and key brokerage businesses. This role will embed AIA’s General Advice Life and Health offering into partner businesses, client offerings, positioning AIA as the partner of choice for protection and wellbeing solutions.
You will play a pivotal role in delivering referral growth targets, building partner capability, and promoting the value of diversification both from a customer and business perspective.
To do this successfully you will:
- Build, develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with aggregator partners and key brokerage businesses
- Achieve set KPI’s, by driving referral growth across the portfolio
- Identify and convert new business opportunities by embedding AIA’s life and health proposition into broker client conversations
- Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders including Professional Services, Risk & Compliance, Marketing, Sales and Operations to ensure seamless partner experiences
- Develop and execute tailored engagement plans for key partners to increase referral volumes and deepen AIA brand presence
- Present confidently and persuasively at aggregator webinars, events and conferences, representing AIA’s brand and value proposition
- Conduct F2F and virtual education sessions to build AIA proposition understanding and embed into broker’s loan process
- Manage the end-to-end referral and sales pipeline, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting for your specific region
- Work effectively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritising multiple stakeholders and deliverables
- Provide regular insights to leadership on performance, opportunities, risks, and competitor activity
- You will be able to work with key internal and external stakeholders, whilst operating within critical strategic frameworks and principals
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliant business practices with supporting controls and governance to ensure adherence with required standards and regulations including management frameworks and reporting obligations.
Successful applications will demonstrate:
- A deep understanding of the Australian financial services market
- A strong understanding of general advice and advice frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business/Commerce
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Partnership Manager, or Account Manager within financial services, insurance, or mortgage aggregation.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including comfort presenting to large audiences at events or webinars.
- Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales and growth targets
- The ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Demonstrated understanding of the broker and aggregator landscape in Australia
