Tell Me About My Job:

We are looking to hire a Cloud Engineer to help with our IT and Security Team.  capSpire is a premier consulting company with a collaborative environment where great minds come together to solve tough problems and create innovative solutions around technology and processes in the commodity industry.  

The ideal candidate has a passion for technology support and cybersecurity and is excited to step into a role that can create a solid foundation for their career. This person will have an opportunity to work directly with senior leadership that holds both CISSP & CSSLP certifications, learn the interworking of a global technology company, gain an understanding of future international cybersecurity concepts, and touch a variety of small to enterprise scale virtual, hardware, and software environments. 

Skills Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience with design, configuration, and engineering of network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, routers, load balancers, Windows servers, Linux servers, container operating systems, Kubernetes and other devices
  • Understanding of container orchestration and CI/CD devops automation including Drone, Google Cloud Build, Teamcity, Terraform and similar
  • Knowledgeable in the usage and optimization of hosting complex Python and .NET applications in Azure, Google Cloud and AWS
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot large scale, complex networks and ability to use customer-first thinking in response management
  • Able to work with other team members to ensure system integrity, security, and ongoing performance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent major with a networking, security, or hosting interest

Job Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain, and upgrade network devices including firewalls, load-balancers, routers, and switches
  • Perform timely response and technical support to incidents, requests, outages, and automated alerts
  • Maintain virtual infrastructure in multiple cloud environments in AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, supporting Kubernetes, Docker and Windows systems
  • Provide support for user requests (i.e. internal software, password/login assistance, email, laptop issues, etc.)
  • Keep up to date documentation of system diagrams & architecture
  • Deploy and maintain security solutions in multiple environments
  • Provide account activation & laptop maintenance for all users
  • Build out and maintain multiple software environments
  • Administering systems, applying fixes and patches
  • Software development support working with Python and .NET developers
  • Maintain CI/CD devops infrastructure and performance monitoring tools
