About Primer

Fixing our K-12 education system is a civilizationally-important problem. We believe that all of our problems — including the ones that dominate the headlines — are downstream of education.

We have a simple thesis on how to solve it: empower 1,000's of educators to launch microschools in their communities.

We believe the historical tradeoff between price (tuition) and quality is a false dichotomy.

PrimerOS automates and eliminates much of the costs of traditional schools. Microschools have a structural advantage — asset-light real estate — which means much lower capex and opex. You put it together, and you get something that's never existed before: a world-class education that's accessible to normal American families and can rapidly scale.

A great educator makes all the difference

At Primer, we believe that kids are remarkable —

and our current system is underestimating them. We’re building schools that value what kids learn both outside and inside the classroom. Where they learn how to solve real problems, not pass tests. Where they learn how to think, instead of what to think.

About the role

A Campus Coordinator at Primer is a detail-oriented, relationship-building guru. If you have an eye for organization, you are enthusiastic and engaging, and you’re able to seamlessly manage multiple work streams at once, this role is for you.

As a Campus Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Campus Coordinator. You will be the point person for communication with parents, guarantee a safe and efficient execution of daily pick-ups and drop-offs, and manage daily attendance. Think luxury concierge + president of the neighborhood social club -- you are extremely helpful and also know the name of everyone’s dog.

  • Cultural Ambassador. You will carry the culture of the school on your back. You will know every child’s name, support the events that make Primer special, and welcome students every day with an optimistic smile on your face.

  • Office Manager. You will quarterback daily campus operations and keep the campus ship sailing. You’ll order and organize supplies, manage student files, troubleshoot and liaise with IT, and manage campus-wide organizational excellence.

About you

You believe schools need to take kids seriously and you are excited to employ a new approach to school. Your goal is to give students an extraordinary educational experience.

  • A passion for working with kids. Kids love you and you know and love them.

  • Demonstrated attention-to-detail, organizational skills and ability to execute with excellence

  • An eagerness to receive constructive feedback and act on it

  • The ability to bring calm to chaos in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents and students

  • Ideally, 2+ years of related experience

This is a full-time position with benefits. Salary range is $35,000 - $40,000 based upon experience.

We believe in hiring curious, driven people who are passionate about developing their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways.
