Job Description​

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City located in Kansas City, MO is looking for a Registered Nurse for their Cardiac Transplant team. This unit is part of our nationally recognized cardiac care and transplant teams; which are currently ranked amongst the top 25 performers for Cardiology and Heart Surgery in the United States by U.S. News and World Report. This position provides care to patients 24-48 hours following Heart Transplants, Liver Transplants, and LVADS. This is a high acuity fast-paced cardiac focused unit with highly specialized and trained staff in advanced heart failure management.

Shift Details: 6:45 pm to 7:15 am

The Work:

  • Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
  • Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
  • Delegates tasks appropriately.
  • Identifies hospital resources.
  • Serves as a clinical resource for new employees.
  • Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.
