We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Shanghai, China.

Key responsibilities

Your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple locations in Mainland China, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and ensure compliant individual income tax (IIT) filings, and necessary corrections.
  • Support payroll and IIT-related compliance audits.
  • Manage and oversee payroll and time system vendors, including solution evaluation and service quality governance.
  • Evaluate absence and overtime data, consolidate, upload data for payroll calculation.
  • Handle employee inquiries related to payroll, tax, and benefits.
  • Support other HR functions by providing payroll and tax simulations for compensation and benefits programs.
  • Drive risk management initiatives and promote payroll process standardization and optimization.
  • Support additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Payroll Leader.

We’re looking for

  • 5-10 years of Payroll experience, preferably with an agency or corporate where roles aren't strictly defined.
  • Proven track record in high-volume, blue-collar payroll processing and end-to-end management.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday (Master Data, reporting) and knowledge of Payroll Integration, SAP for payroll solution.
  • Solid understanding of Payroll Governance, tax compliance, and individual income tax (IIT) filing.
  • Ability to perform manual payroll calculations and manage complex attendance workflows.
  • Functional English proficiency for daily professional communication.
