About the Role ​

• Act as directed on all HSSE matters in Japan and associated project locations.
• Provide first aid and acute pre-hospital care to project locations
• Champion all HSSE related initiatives, plans, and campaigns.
• Liaise with client and / or internal departments regarding HSSE matters.
• Develop project related HSSE risk assessment, plans and procedures.
• Improve workforce HSSE awareness.
• Advise management of any HSSE deficiencies and assist with improvement plans.
• Perform incident investigation and reporting.
• Participate in management, HSSE, and project meetings.
• Review and advise management on client and other contractual HSSE requirements.
• Participate in HSSE external audits and perform internal audits.
• Site inspections.
• Working with and supporting internal and external customers on all HSSE matters to enable compliance with Japan’s legislation, Company management systems, and client requirements.

About You

• University degree in engineering discipline or equivalent in appropriate discipline; and

• 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience, including experience in a key position on site for supervision or construction of works of similar nature as the works under the contract; and

• A good team player with excellent influencing, project management and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent in spoken and written Japanese and English.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
