The opportunity:

Due to growth AIA has opportunities for Retail Underwriters to join our team. Within these roles you will have the opportunity to experience a hybrid working model, career growth opportunities, recharge days and vitality membership.

The successful candidate for these roles can be based in either Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth.

To do this successfully you will:

• Underwriting assessments within personal authority levels

• Maintain individual service level, productivity and quality targets

• Approval of referrals within authority levels

• Strong adviser communication and relationship building

• Promote and drive a culture of extracting quality information from advisers and clients or any third party via tele-collection of information

• Strategic development of Underwriting practices, processes, reduced requirement requests (e.g. PMAR) and cancellations rates, end-to-end cycle time targets and tele-underwriting excellence.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers to gain industry knowledge on best practice underwriting capabilities.

Successful applications will demonstrate:

• Extensive Life Insurance Underwriting Experience

• Able to demonstrate standard process in Underwriting

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Sound medical and financial knowledge

• Sound Customer Service Skills
