Position Summary: 

Has overall office administrative responsibility and supports the Practice Manager/and or Director in their absence.  Is responsible to manage, monitor and maintain productivity, patient satisfaction, staff stability and satisfaction. Demonstrates and promotes the organization’s philosophy of excellent customer service and high-quality care. 

Essential Duties:

  • Provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ensures that all staff provides the highest customer service.
  • Monitors patient scheduling.
  • Facilitates positive resolution of all patient complaints and inquiries.
  • Facilitates cooperation between providers, clerical and clinical functions.
  • Maintains a current awareness of third-party reimbursement regulations and contractual arrangements with HMOs and PPOs.
  • Serves as a resource to others.
  • Complete reports and statistics as requested by the Director.
  • Maintains confidentiality and HR protocol for accessing confidential information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of Customer Service experience required
  • 2+ years Office Coordinator or Health Care Administrative Assistant experience preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in medical billing
  • Previous experience with health insurance and patient billing required
