Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Accurately read and measure student performance based against a grading rubric.
Collaboratively work with the Lead for the course(s) to provide the student with constructive, supportive and concise feedback.
Complete grading rubrics and leave detailed feedback and comments for the learner.
Check student submissions for plagiarism and for grammar.
Provide in-context feedback and scoring using the Sophia-provided rubric.
Participate in calibration efforts to ensure consistency of quality for our learners.

Ability to keep accurate records.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Work Experience:
• Current or prior HS or Post-secondary teaching experience in IT/Coding/Computer Science (Java, Python, Web Development).
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required; Master’s degree is preferred.

Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Typical office setting.
Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.
Must be able to work more than 20 hours per week when business needs warrant.
Access information using a computer.
Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.
Effectively cope with stressful situations.
Strong mental acuity.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.
