We are seeking a talented individual to join our Employee Benefits team at Mercer Marsh Benefits. This role will be based in Tauranga or Auckland, New Zealand, with a hybrid requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Employee Benefits team values building human relationships beyond Employee Benefits and provides industry-focused brokerage, consulting, and claims advocacy services. The Medical Sales Specialist will help grow the book of health insurance clients while upselling additional complementary benefits.

We will count on you to:

  • Grow the book of business to ensure that you consistently meet and exceed revenue and retention targets
  • Actively identify opportunities to add additional benefits for clients
  • Manage insurance applications through the underwriting process to completion
  • Develop and maintain excellent internal and external stakeholder relationships to preserve and protect company’s relationships at all times
  • Contribute towards the Company’s profit objectives through the effective management and attainment of revenue and expense budgets

  • The ability to recognise revenue growth opportunities
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • An autonomous work ethic and be able to work as part of a team
  • Proven sales experience, health insurance preferred
