Job Summary

Acrisure is seeking a Billing Specialist to support billing, payment processing, and customer account activities within a fast-paced insurance environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring accurate payment processing, maintaining account records, and providing high-quality customer service to insureds and agents.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail oriented, and interested in building experience within accounting, billing, or insurance operations. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls from insureds and agents regarding billing questions, payments, account information, and coverage related inquiries
  • Process insured payments and maintain accurate account records
  • Create and prepare deposits for bank processing
  • Monitor receivables and communicate with insureds regarding past due balances
  • Coordinate account escalations and collection activities when necessary
  • Process refunds in accordance with company procedures and timelines
  • Support vendor payable processing activities
  • Print and process checks related to claims, refunds, commissions, and other payments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support additional accounting and administrative projects as assigned
  • Provide professional and timely customer service across all interactions

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and telephone communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous office, billing, customer service, or administrative experience beneficial

Education and Licenses

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Additional coursework in accounting, finance, or business beneficial

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $15 - $18. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
