About the role

We are looking for a Director of Product Management, who will lead the product management discipline within - our hit game - June’s Journey, to ensure the long-term vision and strategy are tangible through our new and existing product features. The Director of Product Management will make crucial product decisions and lead Product Managers to drive product roadmaps of our market-leading game and report directly to the Game Director. Some of your responsibilities in this position include:

Driving Wooga’s success 

  • You will be a driving force in our ambition to continuously improve June’s Journey as sustainably profitable businesses delivering value to our players.
  • You will decide on and champion the next iteration of product improvements that will allow June’s Journey to flourish for the next decade.
  • Work on strategic initiatives, together with the rest of the Games leadership team, and push our progress toward our vision of becoming an entertainment platform.

Leading the Product Management Discipline

  • You will be the decision maker and point person for everything product related within the game.
  • Be accountable for the prioritized backlog and product roadmap across all parts of the game to allow stakeholder alignment.
  • Connect the plans we are executing and actions we are taking to the overall company goals by being an active contributor to the forecasting process. 
  • Help conduct Player and Market research in order to understand and represent the voice of our current players as well as our soon-to-be players. 
  • Foster a culture of A/B testing, feature validation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure that Product learnings and insights are shared and applied across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the leadership of the game to ensure that we work collaboratively across disciplines and create a game that delights our players and grows the business.
  • Act as an ambassador of the Product Management discipline, inside and outside of Wooga. 

Leading the People

  • Adopt a coaching style and be able to grow the Product Managers ensuring they become industry leading product managers who are independent, accountable, collaborative, and proactive.
  • Your goal is to create an environment where the entire team can do the best work of their careers. You need to be able to regularly reflect on the role you play and what improvements you can make to make the environment better.
  • Be an extremely resilient leader with exceptional situational leadership skills.

About you

  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills with the willingness to teach and the ability to transform qualitative and quantitative feedback into actionable tasks.
  • Must have previous experience of running large scale games as a service, with an emphasis on events and live operations.
  • A strong understanding of past and current mobile F2P monetisation mechanics, the overall casual market, and ideas about where the industry is headed.
  • Must have excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills to work across other disciplines and departments within the game and company, and ultimately deliver further success for the game.
