Job Overview: 

Responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled qualifications, calibration, preventative maintenance, and repair tasks in support of typical analytical and process instrumentation used in the laboratory and biorepository.

Responsible for installation and qualification of new equipment, instrumentation, and controlling software according to standard operating procedures, as appropriate. Coordinates and oversees vendor installation and qualification, as needed.

Performs calibration and/or verification of validated instrumentation according to SOP requirements, inclusive of appropriate documentation.

Performs preventative maintenance on analytical instruments and/or coordinates necessary maintenance with external vendors.

Maintains an accurate inventory of instruments, consumables, and spare parts.

Partners cross functionally to troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation and to identify new equipment needs and coordinate procurement efforts.

 

Responsible for maintaining life cycle documentation of equipment and instrumentation in accordance with applicable SOPs.

Requirements:  

  • Associate's Degree in electronics or mechanical technology or closely related field Req
  • Related hands-on experience in calibration and repair of measuring and test equipment
  • Related hands-on experience in troubleshooting laboratory equipment and resolve process issues
  • 1 year experience in a laboratory environment.
