Equipment Logistics Technician II

A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend, 6:00am—4:30pm.  

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Perform targets rounding in active patient areas to recover assets for processing and redistribution.  

  • Clean, deliver, evaluate and inspect specified medical devices and equipment, such as infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, specialty carts and procedural trays.  

  • Document work activity in an electronic database.  

  • Order supplies, stock patient rooms and deploy supplies to units and departments. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • High School Diploma or GED 

  • One year of hospital medical device logistics/repair experience. 

  • OR Additional years of experience in hospital operations, logistics or related military training may substitute for medical device experience. 

  • Must be proficient with usage of web applications, databases, and spreadsheets. 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Associate's degree. 

  • Training in operations, lean/Six Sigma, and/or process improvement.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to travel throughout the Cleveland Clinic health system.

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.

  • Ability to operate emergency equipment.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

  • Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)

  • Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)

  • Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)

  • Ability to inspect equipment.

  • Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures.

  • Ability to clean, operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products.

  • Ability to distinguish color. 

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
