RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort is situated within the remarkable Shark Bay World Heritage Area in WA's Northwest close to some of the world's most beautiful and pristine beaches.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Reservations Coordinator to join our friendly team on a full-time basis. This role would be ideal for a local or someone looking to relocate from Perth - accommodation is available at a reduced cost allowing the right candidate to live and work on-site.

As the resort and restaurant's central point of contact for all visitor and traveller bookings, you will be responsible for managing bus and tour group booking requests primarily through email and phone enquiries.

Full training will be provided to the right candidate.


What does every day look like for you?

You will spend your days:

  • Managing the administration and logistics needs for tour groups
  • Completing bookings through the reservation system and updating records
  • Processing payments and completing transactions in accordance with the standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts
  • Trouble shooting any booking challenges
  • Carrying out administration tasks associated with the booking ensuring all information is accurately recorded
  • Liaising with the resort restaurant to ensure food & beverage information and Menus are kept up to date and working with the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef on function menus
  • Liaising with marketing to ensure collateral and content in updated on our website and social media
  • Building positive relationships with colleagues, guests, suppliers and contractors
  • Providing customers with information about the resort, including room types, availability, rates, services, products and local attractions and proactively assisting members and guests with bookings to maximise our services
  • Knowledge of daily events at the resort, local events and upcoming key dates and communicating this with team members.
  • Being the central point of contact for all functions and event bookings at the resort and restaurant
  • Managing event planning and working with Heads of Department to ensure adequate allocation of resources in relation to functions and events
  • Assisting with events including ensuring the setup of events, assisting contractors involved in the event with bump in, inspection of the area and being available for the any queries regarding the set up on the day

What are we looking for?

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Hospitality / Tourism / Events related discipline or equivalent is desirable
  • Previous experience in a hospitality environment, hotels, accommodation or similar
  • Demonstrated knowledge of events, venue operations or functions
  • Demonstrated experience in group reservation experience
  • Knowledge of and ability to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment
  • Strong time-management, organisation and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and build relationships
  • A creative flair, with the ability to envisage and bring to life the guest’s requirements
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
