SUMMARY
The Principal IT Business Analyst role serves as the primary liaison between the Operations business functions and technology teams to define processes, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement new technology solutions. This position will document business requirements, manage prioritization management, and measure user adoption/change management effectiveness. They will coordinate user acceptance testing, training, and communication efforts with vendors and multiple business groups. This role with partner with business stakeholders on crafting business cases to solve business problems through technical and non-technical solutions.  Outside of projects, this role will partner with key business stakeholders to the business priorities are incorporated into IT roadmaps.  This is a business-facing and technology-facing role, requiring excellent communication and organizational skills to create alignment amongst multiple sponsors.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner effectively with business stakeholders and subject matter experts across functions in a collaborative manner, building constructive and effective relationships.

  • Partner with the business and technology delivery teams to ensure business processes are understood, documented, and fit the needs of the organization.

  • Map processes from current to future state, document business and tech requirements and scope, and proactively champion change to business stakeholders and development teams.

  • Support technology teams in translating business requirements to stories/tasks for development teams to deliver business functionality.

  • Assist business stakeholders with testing of system changes and analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities.

  • Partner with Product Owner on product vision, requirements definition, and capability mapping to ensure requirements align with business unit processes and needs.

  • Partner with business stakeholders in the development of business cases and project charters.

  • Advocate process changes to improve and support business activities in designing future state of new products and platforms.

  • Provide leadership for the implementation of process improvement opportunities by mapping out process changes, refining requirements and scope, and proactively communicating project capabilities to business leaders, stakeholders, and users.

  • Actively demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement focused on end user productivity and the “user experience”

  • Serve as thought leader for technical business processes.

  • Provide input into IT Roadmaps to ensure business priorities are incorporated.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 7+ years business analysis IT experience, preferably in high-tech manufacturing

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or other four-year degree focusing on information technology
