About the team-

The Analytics and Insights team in the Technology Infrastructure and Operations develops actionable reports and insights regarding Elsevier’s technology infrastructure and operational performance. We empower operations and infrastructure colleagues, senior management across Technology, and the wider business with analytics about Elsevier’s technology estate.

About the role:   

You will create and maintain reports and dashboards in Tableau to deliver insights on Elsevier’s vast multi-cloud infrastructure estate and operational performance. Engaging with stakeholders across Technology, including senior management and operational teams, you will translate business requirements for analytics into compelling data visualizations and dashboards. Areas of reporting include how efficiently we manage our AWS resources, software assets, and other areas of operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

•        Demonstrable experience in a data analytics or business intelligence role

•        Experience working with large and complex data sets, data profiling, and cleansing

•        Proficiency with SQL to extract and transform data. Experience with relational databases, in particular Snowflake

•        Strong DBT skills

•        Exposure to AWS or equivalent cloud technologies

•        Have excellent communication skills and experience engaging effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels

     

  Requirements:

  • Driving data visualisation and storytelling within the Analytics team and the wider TIO function

  • Proven experience in developing Tableau dashboards with a strong portfolio showcasing your data visualisation design skills and user-centric approach.

  • Demonstrable experience in a data analytics or business intelligence role

  • Experience working with large and complex data sets, data profiling and cleansing

  • Proficiency with SQL to extract and transform data. Experience with relational databases, in particular Snowflake
