Associate Architect/Associate Manager - Identity Lifecycle Management

The Opportunity
The Associate Architect/Associate Manager - Identity Lifecycle Management will lead a team responsible for the design, customization, and ongoing support of SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) hosted in AWS. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, driving identity lifecycle automation and advanced integrations with platforms such as Workday, Azure Active Directory, Salesforce, and other enterprise systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-starting leader who thrives in highly-customized environments, brings strong problem-solving skills, and is committed to seeing initiatives through to full resolution. They will also be expected to stay ahead of the curve on the latest IAM technologies and trends, ensuring that our solutions remain modern, efficient, and secure.
This role leads a technical IAM development team while also contributing hands-on. Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for production releases or critical issue resolution. This is a hybrid remote and office-based role in Sri Lanka, aligning with the local job requirement guidelines (Primary shift: [7:30 PM-3:30 AM SLST, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM CDT] with flexibility). Most work is performed Monday through Friday virtually using collaboration tools and video conferencing. Our team has occasional on-call support.
Responsibilities:
Supervising and mentoring developers; assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure timely completion of initiatives; Provide career development and performance management for direct reports
Driving and leading custom development in SailPoint IIQ, including rules, workflows, connectors, and policies tailored to business needs
Overseeing and design integrations with enterprise platforms (Workday, Azure AD, Salesforce, etc.), leveraging APIs and custom connectors for automation.
Acting as the accountable owner for IAM development tasks, ensuring issues and requests are driven to full resolution and delivered with high quality
Researching, evaluating, and implementing emerging IAM technologies and best practices to enhance security and efficiency
Ensuring IAM processes and customizations align with audit, SOX, and security standards; providing support for compliance evidence gathering
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent practical experience
An advanced degree or IAM-related certifications
10+ years of Identity and Access Management (IAM) development experience with a focus on SailPoint IdentityIQ
Demonstrated experience with custom SailPoint IIQ implementations, workflows, and lifecycle management
Strong background in building and maintaining integrations using APIs
Experience in AWS-hosted environments is preferred
SailPoint IdentityIQ certification
Familiarity with additional IAM tools (Okta, Saviynt, CyberArk)
Experience with Agile/DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Advanced knowledge of SailPoint IIQ (rules, workflows, certifications, connectors, policies)
Strong programming and scripting skills (Java, BeanShell, PowerShell, APIs)
Must possess the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive solutions to completion
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and business teams
